about

a comet is a massive chunk of ice, dust and rock orbiting the sun. they often leave a trail of debris as they travel, which is when we see meteors. we commonly call them shooting stars. but they aren't stars at all. a shooting star is just a mass of dirt, dust, and occasionally metal that burns up as it enters earth's atmosphere and leaves a trail of light behind it.

often people aren't what we see them as, what we think they are, or what we want them to be.

maybe the person we see as a comet is really just a flaming ball of space trash.

a nightingale
